I'm back into work tomorrow after 2 1/2 weeks off plus half term. My brain feels slow and I can't imagine teaching 5 lessons plus revision class after school. My nerves are on edge and I can't focus on anything today and I know I'm in for a worse than usual version of the sleepless Sunday night blues. Sad xx Ailsa

Oh dear Ailsa, going back is as bad as your first week in a new job I always think. Just take it as slowly as you can and see at the end of the day how you feel.

Hi Ailsa

Gosh that time off seemed to go quickly! I hope you manage to get a good night's rest, even if you don't sleep right through, and your day goes well tomorrow. The very thought of what you have ahead of you makes me feel tired!

Do you really feel sufficiently well enough to return? I understand you probably need to get back but please don't overdo things and cause yourself a setback. Take care Ailsa,

Lyn x

Thankyou! Really appreciate your good wishes. Today was fine, although I decided to cancel revision class until next week - I was flagging by lunchtime! Like most things, the thought of it is worse than actually doing it. Most of my classes were glad I was back - and y11 will get over it!

I really should learn from this, as I spend so much time and energy dreading things which get bigger and bigger in my mind. Feel free to yell "Get a grip!" at me next time! Hope your Mondays went well too. XX Ailsa

Hi Ailsa

I'm back at school next week- so I know how you feel. I tried to do some marking today but kept putting it off. I'm really not looking forward to it even though I know it will be fine. I hope the coming weeks aren't too bad for you- it's our killer term with coursework to finish and practicals to rehearse for.
